Say What Now? Woman Finds a Frog in the Bottom of Her Salad, Decides to Keep It as a Pet [Photo]

37-year-old Becky Garfinkle discovered a tiny frog inside her bag of spring mix.

The frog was covered in salad dressing and narrowly escaped being stabbed by her fork. After initially being freaked out by her discovery, Becky decided to keep the little amphibian as a pet. She named it Lucky.

Garfinkel, 37, told The Times that she purchased the spring mix salad from a Target last Wednesday.

It was only when she got near the bottom of the salad did she discovered the unintended passenger.

She captioned a Facebook post about the encounter: “Target… this is the most disgusting thing I have seen. Yes that’s a frog, a live frog from my spring mix I got from your store today. I discovered him after eating almost my entire salad and almost stabbed him. The worst for me is that I’m a very strict vegetarian due to meat allergies.”

“I was going to stab at it and take a bite, and I see it…and I scream,” Garfinkel told The Times.

At that point, she was compelled to save the animal, not kill it.

And that’s the story of Lucky’s unconventional adoption.

“He survived so much,” Garfinkel told the same outlet. “I am just happy he survived and I didn’t eat him.”

Garfinkel said she contacted Target and was allegedly offered a $5 gift card. She also reached out to Taylor Farms, which produced the salad. The company has reportedly begun an investigation, according to The Times.

A spokesperson for Target told the Daily News that the company is “aware of the incident” and is “working directly with the guest.”

We feel like this is something only a Becky would do…
