Porsha Williams says NeNe Leakes did NOT like the fact the she shared those nasty, body-shaming, text messages she received from her ‘big sister.’
NeNe took such an issue with it that she allegedly sent Porsha a cease and desist — and now Porsha’s not speaking to her whatsoever.
via People:
“After that whole Instagram back and forth that she started with me, she ended up sending me a cease and desist,” claims Williams, 37. “So once she sent me a cease and desist, at that point, I was like, ‘You know what? This is just a sure sign that I should be done with the relationship.’ So I’m over it. I’m concentrating on my baby girl. And people who love and support me at this moment.”
A rep for Leakes did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment, but the O.G. Atlanta Housewife, 51, made it clear that she was not a fan of Williams during their social media back and forth.
In screengrabs that Williams posted, Leakes allegedly called her a “lying ass big fat hungry bitch” and a “big piggy with the busted shape.”
“Try dieting,” Leakes allegedly said, referencing Williams’ “giant body” and skinny ankles. “That’s something you have never been good at.”
The Dish Nation host had just given birth to her first child, daughter Pilar Jhena, six days earlier, on March 22.
“I think for anyone who just gave birth and is trying to get used to her brand new body, it’s difficult, right? And you wouldn’t want anybody to add to how stressful and how you mentally think about yourself,” Williams tells PEOPLE of the messages. “You don’t want them to add to the stress of that. So that was hard.”
For what it’s worth, Williams tried to keep the peace on the heated RHOAseason 11 reunion. Though she confronted Leakes about not feeling support in their friendship, the three-part affair ended with Williams saying a prayer in an attempt to unite the fractured group.
“God is good, and He was definitely speaking to my heart that night because there was some spirits in the room that weren’t quite right and sometimes you have to speak over them and speak love,” Williams recalls. “I think all these women are great in their own way and I really meant what I said. I would love for my daughter to take some of the better characteristics from the women and be like them. ‘Cause they’re all strong women, even if they’re a little petty at times.”
“We can all support each other, and I think that most of this season got back to be really getting into our personal lives and what all of us are going through and the dynamics of how we really do support each other,” Williams adds. “I think that’s what next season will probably do as well. Listen, the drama will be there, that’s just life. But I think the sisterhood will continue, as it did this season.”
Until then, Williams has a little venture of her own: a three-episode spinoff series, called The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha’s Having a Baby. The show, which kicks off Sunday, follows Williams and fiancée Dennis McKinley as the two navigate the final few weeks leading up to Pilar Jhena’s birth.
There will be bumps along the way, including the birth that Williams calls “difficult.” But all is well now with “Baby PJ,” who is a “happy and healthy” little girl, according to Williams. “She’s everything I ever wanted,” Williams tells PEOPLE. “I still can’t believe she’s here.”
She’s soaking up the time, too. “I’ll be going back to work at Dish Nation at the end of June,” Williams explains, before turning her gratitude to the fans. “I have to say, a lot of people, they give you support from a far. And I appreciate it all, I really do. It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a village to encourage the mom. So I appreciate the support, I really do.”
Those text messages were pretty nasty, but if NeNe didn’t want them out there then she should’ve never sent them. Period.
