Irene Bedard was arrested around 1 a.m. on Saturday after police responded to a possible domestic violence call at her ex-husband’s house in Beavercreek, Ohio. Officers on the scene said they found the 53-year-old actress with a belt in her hand.
Officers wrote in the report that Bedard screamed, “Look, they sent the white man to come get me!” when she saw them approaching and “her level of intoxication was apparent/extreme.” Her ex-husband told officers that he witnessed Bedard yell and kick their 17-year-old son, according to the report.
One of the officers at the scene wrote that Bedard’s son told him his mom “is a nice person when she’s not drinking.”
The officers also claimed Bedard resisted arrest, continued kicking the partition of the police cruiser and screamed as they drove her to jail.
Her son declined to press charges, but she was booked for domestic violence, assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal damaging of the police cruiser.
A few days later, she was arrested again at a hotel where she was allegedly harassing the front desk attendant. According to the report, Bedard “appeared to be intoxicated.” She was booked for disorderly conduct.
It sounds like she needs help. Hopefully someone over at Disney pulls a Mark Cuban and reaches out before it’s too late.
