George Zimmerman cannot seem to stay out of trouble.
As you all know, Zimmerman was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin, whose death sparked nationwide protests—protests that seemingly mirror those currently taking place on behalf of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has found himself in controversy after controversy: charges of aggravated assault, countless traffic violations and even a canceled celebrity boxing match against DMX.
So what has Zimmerman gaining national headlines this time around?
According to booking documents, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated assault with a weapon Friday night in Lake Mary, Florida.
Not much else is known about Zimmerman’s arrest, but his next court date is set for February 17.
Furthermore, his bond has been set at $5,000, and he has been ordered to surrender all weapons.
