Actor Elliot Page just turned up the heat on our feeds — he officially “hard-launched” his new romance. Throughout much of his career, Page’s love life has stayed mostly private. He married dancer-choreographer Emma Portner in early 2018. The union marked a beautiful partnership until they mutually separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2021, remaining close friends afterward.

In his memoir “Pageboy,” Page recounted a two-year secret relationship with a closeted actress he calls “Ryan.” He met her in a Los Angeles coffee shop during a whirlwind film shoot. When Ryan couldn’t come out publicly, the romance quietly fizzled —leaving Page heart-heavy but wiser about the importance of authenticity. According to People magazine, he’s also been linked to fellow actors Olivia Thirlby, his “Juno” co-star, and Kate Mara.

Now, Page has a new love in his life, and he’s not shy about it. Here is everything we know about the woman who stole the actor’s heart.

On June 29, the “Umbrella Academy” star shared a playful selfie on Instagram that instantly set Pride month ablaze. He and Julia Shiplett grinned ear to ear on a rainbow-paved street, emojis of hearts and rainbows punctuating the caption. The move sent fans into a frenzy, as many rushed to gush over the new pairing. “You’re so cute together,” one fan commented. While another wrote, “You are an inspiration to so many, Elliot. Thank you for everything that you have done and that you continue to do.”

Shiplett, Page’s new partner, isn’t just another face in the crowd — she’s a Chicago-born actress whose wit and range have lit up everything from Prime Video’s college comedy “Overcompensating” to Netflix’s “Happiness for Beginners.”

Neither Page nor Shiplett has publicly revealed exactly where sparks first flew, but they appear happy together. In early May, the pair attended an “Overcompensating” screening in L.A., laughing and cozying up in the front row, Glamour reports. A month later, they cheered together at a Sky vs. Liberty WNBA game.

Love looks different when you’re free to be yourself, and Page’s own words remind us why this moment matters. In a 2023 interview with the Los Angeles Times, he opened up about the shift he felt after transitioning. “Interacting with people feels so much easier and more connected, because I’m not feeling lost in myself and not seen in the right way,” Page said. The actor also revealed that he was using dating apps and having “the most fun I’ve ever had dating.”

Page has become more open about his love life since transitioning in 2020. His relationship with Shiplett will be his first since living publicly as a trans man. However, the actor is prepared and more comfortable in his skin than ever before. “It definitely feels a way that I never thought I would get to feel, and that mostly manifests in how present I feel, the ease I feel, and the ability to exist. There’ve been periods in my life where I really felt like I didn’t,” Page told People magazine
