Aretha Franklin Is Launching Her Own Food Line: ‘Ms. Patti Gonna Have to Move That Pie to the Side’

Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle’s rumored rivalry is now heading into the kitchen.

‘The Queen of Soul’ is readying her own food line to rival that of Ms. Patti’s.

In an interview with Detroit’s Local News 4, she said she hasn’t tried one of Patti LaBelle’s infamous sweet potato pies.

“No, I haven’t,” she said. “But Ms. Patti’s gonna have to move that pie to the side!”

Aretha’s line of cooked goods will include pies, chili, gumbo, and baked chicken.
