Are you ready for Sterling K. Brown to take the Oval Office?
According to ‘West Wing’ writer Aaron Sorkin, he’s envisioning a reboot for his Emmy-winning drama starring Sterling as president.
He already has a plot in mind.
“There’s some kind of jam, an emergency, a very delicate situation involving the threat of war or something, and Bartlet, long since retired, is consulted in the way that Bill Clinton used to consult with Nixon,” he said.
As for Sterling — he’s down.
“If you are serious, sir, I would be honored!” Sterling tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
The seven-season show, which ran from 1999 to 2006, followed White House staffers Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen), Leo McGarry (John Spencer), Josh Lyman (Bradley Whitford), C.J. Cregg (Allison Janney), Toby Ziegler (Richard Schiff), Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe), Charlie Young (Dulé Hill) and Donna Moss (Janel Moloney).
We weren’t the biggest ‘West Wing’ fans — but if Sterling’s on, we’re watching.
