Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard had a meltdown on “Celebrity Big Brother” over a grave misunderstanding.
Angie Bowie, who was married to singer David Bowie for 10-years learned of her ex-husband’s death while off camera during the filming of the show.
“David’s dead,” Angie told Tiffany.
Tiffany immediately thought Angie meant their fellow housemate David Guest and began to cry hysterically.
“I love you… stop it! They’re all gonna know,” Bowie said.
“You’re playing, I know you’re joking,” Tiffany responded. Then she started telling other cast members on the TV show, who couldn’t believe the news either.
In a panic, the housemates started searching the house and found David Gest resting in his bed, very much alive.
“David, she just told me that you’re dead!” Tiffany screamed. “Why the f*ck would she say that?”
It wasn’t long before the other housemates relayed the information that Angie was referring to ex-husband David Bowie, who died Sunday after losing his 18-month battle with cancer. David and Angie were married from 1970 to 1980 and had one child together.
In the ‘Big Brother’ contract, it’s stated that housemates aren’t to receive any “outside information” which prompted Tiffany’s assumption.
