So love muffins, I have to tell you about Pantene’s Truly Relaxed product line. Many of you ask me what I use for my hair and I must say that these three products are a part of my everyday routine to keep my hair looking fresh and fabulous!
First, I have to start off with the scent. As soon as you bring it in proximity you realize how truly great these products smell. I like that the fragrance isn’t overwhelming — it’s just noticeably pleasant.
My everyday routine is fairly simple — I say everyday, but It’s usually every other day. I’ve noticed that if I wash my hair every day, it starts to strip away its natural sheen. These products do a great job of retaining my hair’s natural moisture.
If you’re like me and tend to have a dry scalp, the Truly Relaxed Moisturizing Shampoo ($4.99) works great when it comes to relieving the dryness. It also leaves my hair noticeably shinier compared to the product I was using prior.
A lot of conditioners for African American hair tend to leave the hair a little greasy…but I can say that the Truly Relaxed Conditioner ($6.99) didn’t and I was really surprised. The coconut and jojoba oils are a nice addition.
Now the last part of my Pantene routine took a little bit longer to get used to. I rarely ever leave anything in my hair because a lot of products tend to weigh it down. The Truly Relaxed Daily Oil Cream Moisturizer ($7.99) works well, you just have to use it in conjunction with the shampoo & conditioner. At first, it does feel somewhat heavy in your hands, but you have to be sure to apply it to damp hair. I found out that when I applied it to dry hair, it definitely didn’t give my hair the outcome I expected it to.
After combing it through damp hair and allowing it to dry as I would normally, my hair felt super soft and my hairstylists said it’s easier to work with.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Pantene’s Truly Relaxed and Truly Natural – Two collections From Pantene for healthier hair* no matter what your style. *Vs. non-conditioning shampoo
Have any of my love muffins tried either one of the lines? Let me know what you think in the comments!
