New Music Friday featuring G-Eazy, H.E.R, Keyshia Cole and More [Video]

Kicking off the first Friday of February with a hit-list roundup of the hottest new released albums and singles for the week.

G-Eazy is all set to team up with Chris Brown for the infectious song Provide, sampling Mark Morrison’s 90’s classic cut Return Of The Mack.

R&B singer Keyshia Cole is back with her new single “I Don’t Want To Be In Love With You” after her VERZUZ battle with Ashanti. Keyshia actually played this song during the battle and since then, a lot of people have been anxiously waiting for it to appear on streaming platforms.

Freddie Gibbs is someone who never lets his foot off the gas pedal, it shows on his new “Gang Signs” single with Schoolboy Q. The track is a smooth effort with a hard-hitting bass that also features the duo in a laid-back state. It also comes with a semi-animated video that portrays the rappers as cartoon characters who embark on a peaceful drive through the city.

Vic Mensa returns with the politically charged track “Shelter,” featuring Wyclef Jean and fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper.

Megan Thee Stallion is coming through with “I’m a King” featuring “Savage” co-writer Bobby Sessions. The song is the first taste of the Coming 2 America Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Polo G returns with his latest single, “GNF (OKOKOK).” The track is a strong display of the young rapper’s nonchalant spirit

H.E.R. contributes a funky new single titled “Fight For You,” for the new movie Judas and the Black Messiah, which centers around Black Panther Party activist Fred Hampton and William O’Neal.

Flo Milli is out with a new visual for “Roaring 20s.” The video flaunts a retro aesthetic, fitting for the roaring ’20s time period that the song is named after. It also provides the ideal backdrop for the 1970s song, “If I Were A Man,” that Flo Mill samples throughout the song.

Robin Thicke said he felt the need to go back to the basics and create music from his heart. The new song “Lucky Star” is a prime example of what to expect from the new album “On Earth, and in Heaven” which comes out February 12th.

Ice Cube makes a return to music with his new single “Trying To Maintain,” which keeps with the socially charged subject matter while also sending a message to many of Cube’s more recent detractors.

And finally Mariah Carey dropped another bundle of remix EPs, this time honoring her 2008 eleventh studio album, my personal favorite MC album, E=MC², as part of her ongoing #MC30 celebration.
