Kim Kardashian West took to Instagram to set the record straight regarding her Roberto Cavalli Met Gala gown.

When Kim hit the carpet, everyone (including us) was quick to point out the resemblance between Kim’s dress and Beyoncé’s 2012 Met Gala dress.

Well, Kim says that she wasn’t inspired by Beyoncé. She says her inspiration was the legendary Cher at the first-ever Met Gala.

Tonight’s inspiration! Cher at the 1st ever Met Gala! I just met her and told her this photo was my inspiration for my dress tonight! She is so beautiful! So happy I met her!
