Only a select number of X’s family members, namely his mother Arnett Simmons and fiancée Desiree Lindstrom, have been allowed to visit him inside his hospital room due to the positive diagnosis, the outlet reports.

As reported by REVOLT, doctors are expected to perform a series of brain function tests on DMX today (April 7), which will be critical in determining his current condition.

“DMX is currently on life support and in a coma,” his manager told TMZ on Tuesday (April 6). “There are multiple people with inaccurate information about his well-being and it is not helpful and productive. Tomorrow he will undergo further tests on his brain function and his family will determine what’s best from there. We appreciate your prayers and support.”

DMX has remained on life support since suffering a heart attack at his home on Friday (April 2). The 50-year-old was reportedly without oxygen for almost 30 minutes, causing damage to his lungs and brain. TMZ previously reported that the heart attack was brought on by a drug overdose, but that has yet to be confirmed by DMX’s family.

DMX’s friends and supporters have continued to rally around him while he remains on life support. A prayer vigil was held outside of the White Plains Hospital on Monday (April 5), where hundreds of fans gathered to play his music, pray for his recovery and chant his name.

“The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl,” DMX’s family previously said in a statement to TMZ. “Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need.”

We are still praying for DMX.
