Another win for diversity!
Former Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett is becoming quite the multi-hyphenated artist.
After releasing two solo albums (and she’s currently working on her third), LeToya is now carving out a career for herself in the television universe. She’s already starred in TV films Preacher’s Kid and Drumline: A New Beat; she currently stars on Centric TV’s Single Ladies; and now she’s heading to NBC.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has tapped LeToya to co-star in its drama pilot Love Is a Four Letter Word.
LeToya, who replaces Cynthia McWilliams in the role, will portray Tandi, whose story arc will involve the difficulty she and her spouse are having trying to conceive a second child.
The drama will explore “what happens when three diverse couples put modern marriage to the test, taking on issues including race, sexuality and gender roles.”
LeToya joins The Game‘s Rockmond Dunbar.
