It’s been four years since Willow Smith released “Whip My Hair,” and since then Willow’s decided to make music as more of a hobby rather than a career move — at least for the time being. Not only that, but Willow’s later releases have seen the 13-year-old take on a few different musical directions.

Willow took the stage Friday night (Oct. 24) at the FADER Fort Presented By Converse at the CMJ Music Marathon and performed a few new tracks. For the nostalgia, she gave fans a re-worked version of “Whip My Hair” that really showcased how far she’s come musically.
