House of Cards returns for its fifth outing later this month, and Netflix has finally released the trailer for its upcoming season.

Season 5 picks up right after Season 4, with President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) battling for his political life in a contentious election while also struggling to maintain his marriage with his wife, Claire (Robin Wright). In the trailer, Underwood laments that American citizens are in need of constant supervision and he plans to rule over them for the foreseeable future, term limits or no. “One nation, Underwood,” he says in a corruption of the Pledge of Allegiance.
House of Cards‘ fifth season premieres May 30.
