As the release date gets nearer, Lifetime is giving us a little more of their Aaliyah: Princess of R&B biopic.
In this newly released clip, 15-year-old Aaliyah (played by Alexandra Shipp) reveals to her parents that she married 28-year-old R. Kelly.
In speaking about the film, executive producer Wendy Williams told Billboard:
Lifetime needed to tell this story correctly. Fans won’t say, “Oh, my God, how could you disgrace her memory?” And nosy people like me who want to find out things will also be fine.
