Debra Messing did not come to play when she arrived on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Dressed in all black in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement at this year’s ceremony, the actress made her way over to the E! cameras where she called out the network for allegedly not paying their female co-hosts the same as the men.
If you missed it, a few weeks ago Catt Sadler quit her job at E! after discovering she was making less than half of what Jason Kennedy — her male co-host — was making for essentially the same job.
Debra, who was being interviewed on the carpet by Giuliana Rancic, called attention to Catt and the issue at hand.
“I was so shocked to hear that E! doesn’t believe in paying their female co-hosts the same as their male co-hosts,” she said.
She continued,
“I mean, I miss Catt Sadler. And so, we stand with her.”
Talk about awkward.
