Sorry vampire fans, The Hunger Games conquered the opening weekend box-office competition with a $155 million Friday-Sunday debut. Famed Twilight‘s opening weekend only saw $69.9 million, which is what The Hunger Games pulled in on it’s opening day alone!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone opened to only $126.6 million during its debut weekend, with The Hunger Games once again taking the crown.
