Taye Diggs wants you to know that he did NOT make those ridiculous comments about black women that have been circulating around the internet.
He issued a statement after a celebrity satire site spread a phony quote attributed to Taye basically slandering Black women.
He was quoted as saying, “Let’s just say its not a stereotype that black women are less submissive and harder to deal with. Being around all them black women made me really miss my wife”.
It wasn’t long before fans bombarded Taye with angry comments and he was forced to issue a statement to address the lies.
He said:
“Regarding the preposterous quote about black women: It is false. I have not and would never say such a thing. Ever. Period.”
We’re glad it was a misunderstanding. We couldn’t imagine Taye doing that much damage to his career.
