Former Clueless star and current Fox News contributor Stacey Dash slammed former friend Kanye West over his recent remarks during a concert in London, where ‘Ye compared being followed by paparazzi to rape.
“For Kanye to say ‘rape,’ maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island,” Dash said, referencing the New York City jail complex during a chat on Fox News’Outnumbered program. “Go to Rikers for a little while and then he’ll know what rape is,” she said. “I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
That’s all she said about the incident on air, but later she retweeted an article on Twitter titled “Kanye West Should Try Getting Raped in Prison,” along with tweets from users discussing their thoughts on her comments.
If you missed the Kanye rant that sparked this whole thing, it happened during his 20-minute rant at the Wireless Festival where he talked about needing time off from the paparazzi and compared it to being raped.
He said:
“I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 motherf–kers following me. Everybody here, they like sex right? Sex is great when you and your partner are like, ‘Hey, this is what we both want to do’. But if one of those people don’t want to do that, what is that called? That’s called rape. That is called violation.
“So if I walk around and say, ‘Look sir, I’m not feeling so good today, I need some space, can you please not f–k with me today?’ I need cut-off space, not violation.”
Maybe that wasn’t the best analogy.
We guess it’s safe to say that Stacey won’t be appearing in any more Kanye West videos.
