There’s another shake-up happening over at The View.
Sherri Shepherd announced this afternoon that she’s leaving the show after 7 years.
Her rep sent the following statement to Deadline.
“It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey.”
As it turns out, it was time to renegotiate contracts but Sherri and ABC couldn’t reach a deal.
Shortly after news broke, the newest The View co-host Jenny McCarthy said that if Sherri’s gone, she’s leaving too.
She tweeted:
If Sherri goes… I go too. #sisters

My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year.

There’s been no comment so far from ABC.
With all the drama surrounding Sherri’s personal life right now, maybe it’s best she take some time off to get everything together.
