A group of fashion-forward bandits robbed a packing facility in Paris and stole 500 Hermès bags worth about $1.7 million, according to WWD. The individual bags stolen range in price from $535 to $5,354.
The robbers tricked the manager of the CAMS facility, which had been contracted by Hermès, into loading their truck full of the bags.
Police are still searching for the suspects, but say “The mode of operation suggests they were a well-prepared team.”
