I don’t even have any words.

The roommate killed over pork chop preparation has been identified as 35-year-old Robert Gray of May Avenue in Holly Hill, Fla.

Florida resident Thomas Matthew Hahn, Jr., 55, allegedly shot and killed his roommate over pork chop cooking methods. Hahn and two other roommates were reportedly in the home when Gray arrived at approximately 10 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2012. Hahn was in the process of cooking dinner.

Inexplicably, Gray and Hahn began to argue over how to cook pork chops. Hahn retreated to his bedroom and returned with a .22-caliber Ruger rifle. He fired three rounds, shooting Gray in the head twice. Gray died instantly from the gunfire.

WFTV reported that when police officers responded to the scene following a 911 call, they discovered the lifeless body of Robert Gray in the living room with the suspect Thomas Matthew Hahn, Jr. sitting in a chair near the roommate killed over pork chop preparation. Police arrested the suspect who was charged with one count of second-degree murder, Hahn is being held without bail at the Volusia County Branch Jail. He may face additional charges.

Police in Holly Hill, where the incident took place, have not yet determined whether alcohol was a factor in the senseless death. WESH reported that the suspect claimed he acted “. . . in self-defense, but police said the evidence suggests otherwise.
