Wendy Williams is grieving the loss of her mother, Shirley Williams.
News of Shirley’s passing broke over the weekend, causing fans to send their condolences and well wishes Wendy’s way.
On Monday, December 7th, Wendy addressed her mother’s passing on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ informing her audience her mother passed away “many, many, many, weeks ago.”
“My mom passed away many, many, many, many weeks ago. You know how you lose track of the day and time? All I know was it was a long time ago. The five of us, my mom, dad, my siblings, the five of us —she will always be here,” said Wendy.

On that same day, Monday, December 7th, Wendy’s brother Tommy Williams went live on YouTube where he interacted with his audience.
“It’s quiet for a while. My mom passed last Sunday. I’ve been doing my videos…” he said in the chat around the 10:42 mark while responding to fan interaction.
His timeline matches up with the public timeline, suggesting Shirley passed away this past weekend — however it’s in direct contradiction with Wendy’s story that her mother passed “many, many, many, weeks ago.”
