Romeo Miller says his sister Tytyana Miller, who died at age 29 after struggling with mental illness and substance abuse, is “finally at peace.”

The 32-year-old rapper posted on Instagram Sunday that his family is dealing with an “overwhelming grief” as they mourn the loss of his little sister.
“We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve,” he wrote in a statement, before expressing his gratitude for those who have been supporting him.
“We appreciate all of the prayers, love, and support, and although this is sad times, I’m forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister,” he wrote. “Love on your loved ones, life is short.”
Romeo also added that he believes his sister is now at peace.
“The silver lining, I know she’s in a way better place and finally at peace and free. God Bless. -RM ???,” he concluded.
Romeo’s friends flooded the comments section of his post with their condolences and prayers.
“I’m so sorry, Romeo. Lifting you and your family up in prayer. ??,” one person wrote.
“Sending you and your family love. From one sibling who has lost a sibling this is an unfiltered journey. Feel how you feel and give yourself grace. Rest easy Queen Tytyana,” another wrote.’
Romeo’s father, Master P, announced his daughter had died after struggling with mental illness and addiction in his own post to social media on Sunday.
Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana. We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve,” Master P, 52, wrote. “We appreciate all of the prayers love and support. Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”
Master P shared Tytyana with his estranged wife, Sonya C. They also share Romeo, Itali, 23, Inty, 29, Vercy, 30, Hercy, 20, and Mercy, 16. Master P also has a 25-year-old daughter, Cymphonique, from a previous relationship.
The “Burbons And Lacs” rapper and Sonya C tied the knot in 1989, but she filed for divorce in 2013. In 2021, they were legally declared single.
