Prodigy’s Official Cause of Death Delayed, Toxicology Report Pending

Prodigy’s official cause of death has yet to be determined. The Clark County Medical Examiner has completed the autopsy, but is waiting for the results of a full toxicology report. Drugs are NOT believed to be a factor at this time.

As reported, the Mobb Deep rapper passed away Tuesday morning just a few days after he performed in Las Vegas. His publicist suggested he died as a result of complications from his battle with sickle cell anemia.

According to reports, the standard toxicology tests will take 6-8 weeks to complete.

RIP. We hope BET is working overtime to pull together a tribute for the BET Awards on Sunday.
