President Obama answered a question about Bill Cosby on Wednesday and basically said that Cosby is a rapist in the most presidential way possible.
“If you give a woman — or a man for that matter — a drug and have sex with that person, that’s rape, and I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.”
Boom.
If you haven’t been keeping up, Cosby admitted in a 2005 legal deposition that he obtained prescriptions of a powerful sedative to give to women he wanted to have sex with, according to documents released last week in a Pennsylvania court.
President Obama’s comments come after the suggestion that Cosby’s Presidential Medal of Freedom, which he was awarded in 2002, should be revoked in light of the recent revelation.
