First Lady Michelle Obama is turning the big 5-0 on January 17th, and President Obama gave her a nice early birthday gift.
The President left Hawaii late Saturday, but Mrs. Obama is staying behind to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming 50th birthday party.
The White House says the extra time in the islands is part of Mrs. Obama’s birthday gift from the president.
The Obamas’ daughters, Malia and Sasha, are returning to the White House with their father. They’re scheduled to arrive in Washington Sunday morning after a two week vacation.
