Political Comedy Starring Courtney B. Vance and Felicity Huffman Gets Pilot Order at ABC

Hot off his Best Actor Emmy win for his role in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Courtney B. Vance has landed a starring role opposite Felicity Huffman in the ABC comedy pilot Libby & Malcolm.

Created by Kenya Barris (black-ish), the political comedy stars Vance and Huffman as a recently married interracial couple with opposing political views. Sounds mighty timely.

Per Variety:

Huffman stars as Libby, a strong, brilliant, white Republican. Vance stars as Malcolm Black, a liberal pundit and father of three kids who arms himself with cold hard facts and an irresistible easy charm that wins over everyone he meets. The opposing pair recently married and forge a new life together at home against all odds, while going head-to-head at work on their fiery new political talk show.

Here’s to hoping that Libby & Malcolm is picked up to series at ABC!
