Parker Sawyers (Zero Dark Thirty) and Tika Sumpter are set to play young Barack and Michelle Obama in Southside with You.
Southside with You will chronicle the fateful summer afternoon in 1989 when the now First Couple first met.
During their first date, Barack and Michelle attended a screening of Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing and wound up kissing outside of an ice cream parlor.
Richard Tanne penned the script and is set to direct. Stephanie Allain and Tracey Bing will produce.
This sounds incredible, and based on looks alone, Parker and Tika are spot-on for the roles. See for yourselves below.
