Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o has officially joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It has been rumored that Lupita was in the running to play the lead villain.
While her character hasn’t been revealed, she alongside Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie have been announced as the two newest additions to the film.
“I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII,” says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”
Go girls! We’re not big Star Wars fans, but it’s safe to say we’re interested now!
