No Doubt has finally released a short piece of “Settle Down,” their comeback single that’s set to premiere on July 16th. The snippet comes in the form of a new behind the scenes clip of from the band’s video shoot.

As soon as I heard those strings, I knew that I’d fall in love with this song. The hook only really solidified the affair. From what I can tell, “Settle Down” isn’t generic pop/rock, nor does it find Gwen and the boys desperate to re-create the same sound they had 20 years ago. It gives you No Doubt, but older and more refined. I seriously can’t wait until I get to hear the full thing.
