The Canadian Bombshell b.k.a. Aleesia has finally released her debut album, Girl Talk. After winning me over with her slutacious single “Bubble Gum” a few years ago, I’ve been a casual fan ever since. Although, I don’t really see it for the album’s current single, “Kiss It Bye Bye” featuring Big Sean, some of the album tracks fill the generic pop void in my life.
The album is only available in Canada, but after a bit of work I was able to get it in my possession. The Bangladesh-produced “Strut” is one of my favorites. It’s your standard “I look good in the club” pop record — not too far from Jessica Mauboy’s “Get Em Girls,” another Bangladesh production.
