New Couple Alert? Tracee Ellis Ross and ‘Black-ish’ Creator Kenya Barris Linked in Rumored Romance [Exclusive]

Is love in the air for Tracee Ellis Ross?

According to multiple sources, Tracee and ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris are said to be romantically linked.

The exact timeline of their relationship is unclear, but we do know that Kenya filed for divorce from his wife of 20 years, Dr. Rania “Rainbow” Barris, in August of 2019.

Rania previously filed for divorce from Kenya in 2014, but the they reconciled and she withdrew the request a year later.

The married couple on ‘Black-ish’ played by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross is loosely based on Kenya’s marriage and he’s said in interviews that the relationship struggles seen on the show have reflected his own.

Tracee is notoriously private when it comes to her romantic life. She’s only been publicly linked to one other man in the last decade — music exec Abou ‘Bu’ Thiam. Thaim is also singer Akon’s brother.

In 2012, Tracee told Uptown Magazine that her relationship was not up for discussion, saying: “I am not talking about it.”

Thiam told The Breakfast Club in 2016 that despite their separation, they still had a “genuine, unconditional relationship.”

We don’t expect Tracee to publicly comment on this anytime soon, however lovebscott.com did reach out to her reps for official confirmation.
