NeNe Leakes to Return to 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' as a Part-Time Cast Member + Take Major Pay Cut?

NeNe Leakes is confirmed to be returning to Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta next season, but according to sources she’s getting a major pay cut.

Reports say that Bravo execs want to drop NeNe down to a part-time cast member, which means her part-time pay would be cut to $500,000 — nearly half of the $1 million she made last season.

It’s also being reported that NeNe’s scenes with her husband Gregg were the lowest rated scenes of all the Atlanta housewives, which is the reason why they want to reduce her to part-time. However, the source says that NeNe would rather quit then be put on air in a diminished capacity.

At $500,000 for the season, that would put her at a lower pay rate than other cast members including Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Phaedra Parks who are all rumored to be making $600,000+ this season.

“If she [Nene] wants the same pay, Bravo will require that she shoot more with other ladies,” the source said.

Would you tune in to a RHOA with less NeNe?
