Meek Mill has been sentenced to jail for a period of 3 to 6 months for violating his parole.

According to a report from Philadelphia’s Fox 29, the Philly rapper (real name: Robert Williams) is currently in custody, after prosecutors were concerned about “a number of recent incidents” with the MC. Mill is on probation for a 2008 gun and drug conviction, for which he served eight months in jail and began five years of probation in the fall of 2009.

Mill reportedly posted a recent photo of himself with a gun.

A rep from the rapper’s label, Atlantic, declined request for comment.

According to Karen Civil, he is expected to serve only a few weeks in jail.

Let this be a lesson – whether you’re on probation or not, you have to be careful with what you post on social media. You never know when it’ll come back and bite you in the a*s.
