Mary J. Blige made headlines recently for a lawsuit against her claiming that she defaulted on a $500,000 loan. Hip Hollywood caught up with MJB at Vibe Media’s 20th anniversary celebration, where she was honored with the first ever Impact Award. Here’s what she had to say about the negative press:
There’s really nothing you can say about the negative things that are in the media about you. All you can do is keep pushing, keep your head up and just let people be people. [Let] haters hate and just do what you do. Use all of that to fuel you to do something better.
