His passing comes after early reports the actor was on life support after being hospitalized.
Friend and actor Anthony Anderson initially tweeted that Tommy had passed, before Tommy’s reps confirmed — at the time — that he had not.
According to his wife, Tommy had been hospitalized since Sunday due to a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen and his health declined ever since.
In recent years, Tommy had been acting and producing in independent films and tv movies including 2016’s “Blues for Life” and “Love Different,” 2015’s “Every Family Has Problems,” and “Conflict of Interest.”
From 2006 to 2008 Tommy hosted TV One’s comedy competition series “Who’s Got Jokes.”
RIP Tommy.
