‘Marlon’ Renewed for Season 2 at NBC

Marlon Wayans’ NBC comedy is getting a second season!

via THR:

A summer entry, airing after the results show of flagship America’s Got Talent, Marlon had a solid first season — averaging a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers. And why that may not sound like much to get excited about while looking over fall premiere week numbers, its a hit by scripted summer standards.

Billed as a loose adaption of the Wayans brother’s life, the multi-cam sitcom also stars Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor and Amir O’Neil and is produced by Universal Television, Bicycle Path Productions, Baby Way Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.

When NBC announced the news late Thursday, the network did not specify if the series would again air in the summer, though that seems likely. Scripted offerings are still slim during the robust off-months —and NBC’s only other half-hour, The Carmichael Show, was recently canceled after three seasons.

We randomly stumbled across this show — and it’s actually pretty funny! If you haven’t, give it a try!
