Mariah Carey to Receive Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mariah Carey will finally be receiving her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

To be honest, we’re surprised she didn’t have one already!

Mariah will get the 2,556th star on Aug. 5th with a ceremony including guest speakers Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner, as well as Epic Records CEO and Mariah’s longtime collaborator L.A. Reid.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, released the following statement:

“Finally, all questions regarding when Mariah Carey will be honored with a star are answered! Fans have repeatedly asked us when their favorite singer would be honored, and now is the time. We are thrilled that we can add one of the world’s biggest talents to our Walk of Fame.”
