Mahershala Ali is a new dad!

The actor and his wife, Amatus Sami-Karim, have welcomed their first child — a daughter.

Her name is Bari Najma Ali.

Even if Mahershala doesn’t take home the award for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards this Sunday, he’s already had the best week ever.
