Alice Marie Johnson and Kim Kardashian have maintained quite the friendship since Kim assisted in getting Alice’s freedom.
Now, the 64-year-old grandmother is serving as one of the many faces of Kim’s new SKIMS (formerly Kimono) shapewear line.

The message of the campaign is to have “real and intimate stories told by these women about why they love their bodies and how SKIMS empowers them to feel the best version of themselves.”
Alice Marie Johnson is one of 26 women who will star in the campaign.
“I was serving a 25 year sentence without the possibility of parole. Kim saw a video of me. She heard my story. She said, ‘This is so unfair,'” Alice says in the video. “And by the way, I didn’t even know who Kim Kardashian was! She went to war for me to fight for my freedom. That’s why I call her my ‘war angel,’ because nothing stood between her and my freedom.”
