Kelly Rowland and husband Tim Witherspoon made the most of their quarantine time together — and now they’re expecting their second child!

“We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens,’” Rowland, 39, said of the couple deciding to expand their family. She and Weatherspoon are already parents to 5-year-old son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon.
To her surprise, the former Destiny’s Child singer got pregnant almost immediately, but she was hesitant to share the news in light of the pandemic and various social justice movements.
“But you still want to remind people that life is important,” Rowland said. “And being able to have a child … I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.”
On the cover of the magazine, Rowland shows off her baby bump in a two-piece swimsuit.
For fans wondering if she’s going to deliver a baby or a new album, Rowland says she won’t disappoint.
“I was thinking, Oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed.…They wanted an album first, but they got a baby!” she said. “And I was like, ‘I have to figure this out so they get both.’”
