The “American Idol” alum stated that she has “a desire” to make her middle name her new last name, according to court documents filed Monday and obtained by Us Weekly.

“My new name more fully reflects who I am,” she explained.

A court hearing regarding the petition is scheduled for March 28.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer, 39, has not addressed her name change request on social media or her daytime talk show, and her reps didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Clarkson’s divorce from Blackstock, 45, is ongoing, though the former couple were declared legally single in August 2021.

The Grammy winner filed for divorce from the former talent manager in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. She has since been granted primary physical custody of their two children together: River, 7, and Remington, 5.

Most recently, Clarkson agreed to give Blackstock over 5 percent of their Montana ranch. His share equates to $908,800 of its whopping $17,750,000 estimated value.

The “Kelly Clarkson Show” host initially won the heavily fought-over home last October, but Blackstock argued it was “marital property” and not part of their prenuptial agreement.

In December, Clarkson lost her request that Blackstock, who still resides at the property, should be evicted from the ranch.

The “Voice” coach’s divorce has been both highly emotional and expensive.

Last July, she was ordered to pay Blackstock nearly $200,000 per month in spousal and child support. She’ll also be footing the bill for his legal fees, which rack up to around $1.25 million.

Clarkson recently joked that after dealing with the tumultuous divorce proceedings, she’ll be “single forever.”

Be free Kelly Brianne!
