Dr. Jan Adams is not here for Kanye West’s plan to use his image on his album cover.

Dr. Adams responded by publishing a three-page open letter addressed to Kanye, detailing his version of what happened following Donda West’s final surgery.

“Thank you for thinking of me for the cover of your next album. That is kind of you,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, I have to decline at this time, and I ask that you cease and desist using my photo or any image of me to promote your album or any of your work.”

In 2007, Dr. Adams performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Donda a day before she passed away. In his letter to Kanye, he highlights several passages from the coroner’s report and alleged it was Kanye’s cousin Stephan Scoggins who’s ultimately responsible for her death.

“Perhaps you should put your cousin’s picture on your next album,” he wrote. “Don’t put my picture out there and claim you are about love. Love deals with the truth.”

Kanye responded by sharing Dr. Adams’ letter on Twitter along with a message. “This is amazing,” he wrote. “Thank you so much for this connection brother. I can’t wait to sit with you and start healing.”
