Johnny Depp Confirmed to Reprise Role as ‘Mad Hatter’ for Disney’s ‘Alice in Wonderland 2’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnny Depp is set to reprise his role as Mad Hatter in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland 2.

Disney announced the news officially Friday, setting a May 27, 2016 release for Alice 2, which will be directed by James Bobin. Joe Roth, Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd are producing.

The first Alice was a runaway hit at the global box office, grossing $1.02 billion in 2010.
