‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi is spending her Valentine’s Day battling COVID-19
The reality star revealed the ‘scary’ diagnosis via Instagram post, in which she’s holding a flower bouquet while wearing a mask.
“Happy Valentine’s Day! This one’s a bit different . . . I have COVID,” wrote Snooki. “I’ve been isolated in my room since I found out. My family and I have been super cautious and careful, so this is super scary.”
The mother of three with husband, Jionni LaValle, claims her symptoms began as a bad sinus cold, experiencing a stuffy nose, mild cough and headache.
After feeling “super tired” and spending an entire day napping, she went and got tested for coronavirus.
“Today I just feel groggy,” she added on Sunday. “I ending up losing my taste and smell last night. It’s frickin’ weird. I had a greasy cheese pizza and couldn’t taste a damn thing. WHAT A SIN!”
Thankfully, Snookie’s husband and kids — sons, 8-year-old Lorenzo and 20-month-old Angelo, and 6-year-old daughter, Giovanna, tested negative.
She said she woke up Sunday to the sight of roses and chocolates in her room and then thanked her nearly 14 million Instagram followers for all the love.
“Appreciate all of your concerns, but I am OK,” concluded Snooki. “Please stay safe, everyone!”
