Jermaine Dupri wants everyone to know rumors that Jay-Z told him to turn down his deal with the NFL is NOT true.
While speaking to Big Tigger on Atlanta’s V-103 radio station, Jermaine cleared the air about what really went down.
“He and I never had a conversation where he told me, ‘don’t do what you’re doing.’ What our conversation was… ‘you know what side I’m on, I understand what you’re doing.’ That’s what the conversation was,” Jermaine explained. Bryan-Michael Cox previously claimed that Jay advised him against partnering with the league.
Funkmaster Flex also took to Twitter to allege that Jermaine told him that Jay-Z discouraged him from working with the NFL.
I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH JERMAINE DUPRI… HE CONFIRMED THAT WHEN HE WAS WORKING WITH THE NFL LAST YEAR HE DID GET A CALL FROM JAYZ ASKING HIM.. “HOW DEEP ARE U IN WITH THE NFL?” EXPRESSING… “THAT MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA”
