Ja Rule is returning to television.
Queen Latifah and Ja’s longtime friend/collaborator Irv Gotti are producing Follow The Rules, a new show that will follow Ja (whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins), his wife Aisha, their two sons, and their college-age daughter. His mother and mother-in-law will also be featured.
Follow the Rules has been picked up by MTV. Programming president Susanne Daniels issued the following statement:
“Ja Rule is the modern-day reality rap star version of Bill Cosby’s role from ‘The Cosby Show,’” Daniels stated. “He embraces a unique parenting style with his teenage kids that feels fresh and funny. We’re excited to be in business with him and his delightful family.”
