ICYMI: Taraji P. Henson to Play a Hitwoman in the Upcoming Film 'Proud Mary'

Fresh on the heels of Hidden Figures’ box office success (the film is number one for the second consecutive weekend), Taraji P. Henson has lined up one of her next starring roles.

The Golden Globe winner will tackle the role of a hitwoman in the upcoming film Proud Mary, which is set to begin production in April.

Per Deadline:

Henson will play a hit woman whose life is turned completely around when she meets a young boy who awakens in her a maternal instinct she never knew she had. Screen Gems will set a director quickly.

Taraji is also set to play civil rights activist Ann Atwater in the upcoming film The Best of Enemies.
